The Mike Pecar Sales team has well over 50 years of experience in the audio/video industry. We have earned an excellent reputation and rapport with specialty retailers throughout our territory. We live and breathe specialty.

We work all the trade shows:

Our goal is to provide timely and accurate information to both our dealers and manufacturers. We promptly respond to all requests and strive to be accessible both in and out of the office. Mike Pecar Sales believes the best dealers are knowledgeable dealers. We support training on several levels including in-store, regional and national. Our entire staff attends the annual CEDIA Expos and we attend the Regional CEDIA's when they are held in our area. We also attend the Consumer Electronics Show held every January in Las Vegas and the annual PARA Conferences.


Active participation in trade organizations:

This includes the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA), the Electronic Representatives Association (ERA), the Independent Professional Representatives Organization (IPRO), the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), and the Professional Audio/Video Retailers Association (PARA). These organizations provide outstanding information and can create stronger bonds between retailers, manufacturers, and manufacturers representatives.


Historical Highlights:

Mike Pecar founded Mike Pecar Sales in 1992 with the lines of McIntosh and AudioStream, manufacturer of Paradigm speakers. Through 1994, while Mike was working alone, he was able to achieve a sales increase of 102% for McIntosh and 242% for Paradigm.

Mike's expertise in electronics has been a great asset to the manufacturers we represent. Mike often works with the dealers and installers to recommend the right product for the job. In 1993, TRIBUTARIES hired Mike as their very first representative. TRIBUTARIES manufactures high quality audio and video cable, interconnects, and electronics. TRIBUTARIES was a new player in the a/v industry a few short years ago and has experienced phenomenal growth. Mike Pecar Sales received a first place honor from "Inside Track" in the survey of dealers on Rep Quality in 1994. Mike Pecar Sales received the highest mean grade in the category of companies that were graded by at least 10 but fewer than 20 dealers.

In January, 1995, Mike hired Darsi as Office Manager, invested in a new high-capacity Zenith File Server Computer, and purchased the "rep software" of Manufacturer's Agent Computer System (MACS) to track orders and invoices. Darsi attended extensive training on the Microsoft Office software and received training on the MACS software. The addition of a Hewlett Packard Scan-Jet4c and Microsoft Publisher added to the quality of communications produced by the office. Darsi receives ongoing training in the audio/video field by attending the annual Consumer Electronics Show and the CEDIA national conference. She also assists in dealer sponsored events. Mike was awarded a plaque for Ten Years of Board of Director Service by the Michigan Chapter of the Electronic Representatives Association.

Johnny Williams joined the firm in August 1996 and quickly won the respect of both dealers and manufacturers with his enthusiasm and knowledge of the industry. Johnny coordinated a major demonstration tour of the DWIN projector in October, 1996 that produced 14 new dealers who are now selling a $15,000 video projector/line doubler combination. Johnny joined Velodyne as the Eastern Regional Sales Manager in August, 1997.

Ben Hassenger joined Mike Pecar Sales, L.L.C. in January, 1998. In February, Mike Pecar Sales was named the representative for Marantz America in Michigan. At the 1999 CES Show, Marantz awarded Mike Pecar Sales "Rookie Rep of the Year" for 1998 and Ben Hassenger was named "Rep Salesman of the Year." Arthur Moy joined the company in December, 2001. Art's past experience in retail, as a manufacturers' representative, and as National Sales Manager/Commercial Division for Kloss Video has allowed him to be quickly embraced by our dealers and manufacturers.



Mike Pecar, President and Founder of Mike Pecar Sales, has been passionately involved with specialty electronics since 1972. Mike became a manufacturers' representative in 1984 and founded Mike Pecar Sales in 1992.

Mike has a solid foundation in the audio/video industry. He served as Sales Manager, Advertising Manager and Sales Person at Pecar Electronics in Detroit. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University.

Mike is well known in the industry and active in several organizations. He is a Past President of the Michigan Chapter of the Electronic Representatives Association (ERA), and currently serves as a National Vice President and Chairman of the Consumer Electronics Group for ERA. He served as President of the Independent Professional Representatives Association (IPRO) for 2001/02. Mike has completed a three-year executive education program to earn the designation "Certified Professional Manufacturers' Representative (CPMR).

Walter John Jezewski, Manufacturers Representative, joined Mike Pecar Sales in August 2009 as Sales Engineer. He is directly involved with dealers and custom integrators in a sales capacity and also provides technical support.

Walter has been in the audio/video business for more than 16 years.  He worked at The Sound Advantage, an independent car and home audio specialist in Rochester, MI from 1993 to 2001.  He then joined AVAD and served as the Michigan location’s Branch Manager until the location closed in May, 2009.

Walter has extensive experience with both Mac and PC computers, networks, and networking communications.  He has received Panasonic TDA IP Phone Systems certification.

Darsi Martin, Office Manager, is a key liaison between the dealers and manufacturers. In addition to running the Mike Pecar Sales office, Darsi tracks shipments, provides information, and solves problems. Darsi's background as Communication Director for the Central Business District Association of Detroit and her Bachelors degree in Journalism from Wayne State University provide her with the communications skills crucial to our business.

2006 CEDIA Expo:
Mike Pecar was awarded the CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Award of “Sales Representative of the Year” in Denver at the CEDIA Banquet..

2004 CEDIA Expo:
Mike Pecar Sales awarded the "Rep of the Year Extra Effort Award" by Russound.

2001 CES Show:
Mike Pecar Sales was awarded "Rep of the Year" by Tributaries Marantz awarded Darsi "Best Inside Sales Person".

1999 CEDIA Expo:
Channel Vision Technology awarded Mike Pecar Sales "Rep of the Year."

1999 CES Show:
Marantz awarded Mike Pecar Sales "Rookie Rep of the Year" for 1998 and Ben Hassenger was named "Rep Salesman of the Year."

1998 CES Show:
Mike Pecar Sales awarded 1997 Rep of the Year by Proton and McIntosh Car Audio.

January, 1997:
Mike Pecar Sales was awarded "Most Improved Territory" by Proton and given the additional territorial responsibility for Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Darsi Martin was awarded the Best Rep Team Player Award for 1996 by Proton.
